Let's talk about the space that's all about you - your bedroom. Your bedroom is your sanctuary, a place to unwind and relax. We all love a Kondo-level closet and a curated coffee table, but sometimes we forget to apply the same principles to our personal sanctuary. Way too often, it’s a neglected space with chairs covered with laundry and clothing draped ironing boards that's why it's important to create a space with intention, one that feels comfortable and cozy. Add things that make you happy, spark joy, and start the day off on the right foot. That's why I'm so excited to re-launch The Shop by Holly Volpe, which features the quality bedding that I think has been missing from the world of online shopping.

To give people easy access to amazing bedding, I curated and founded the Shop by Holly Volpe. The online boutique is more than bedding ensembles, you can also find some of my favorite furniture, home décor and accessories. I like to create a mix that feels timeless and fresh. So I try to have a good mix of styles to accommodate that: We can go from country to contemporary, from transitional to modern. We have a variety of companies and lines so that there is something for everyone. The common thread, pun intended, across the lines would be our emphasis on pieces that are both stylish and functional. You’re not going to find anything over-the-top frilly or ostentatious here.

I have been passionate about beds and bedding my whole life – I can’t explain it. While most kids have to be nagged into making their bed, I proudly had mine pin-tidy every day. But I guess that makes my first career as a project manager (that’s right, I'm certified in project management) make sense. I'm very organized and have a process for how I do everything. It’s not my passion, but it has served me well.

I quit the corporate world and went back to school for design while I was raising my family. And then when my youngest went to school full time I opened my business. After working for several years as a successful interior designer, I was inspired to create a space where my clients could shop for the perfect pieces to complete their dream spaces. the Shop is finally live and I’m so excited to share it with all of you! 

My close relationship with clients is one of the things that sets HV Design Group apart from other design firms. I take the time to get to know each client on a personal level, learning about their unique tastes, preferences, and lifestyles. This deep understanding allows me to curate a selection of products that are tailored to each individual client. And it has only grown my passion for bedding. You spend one-third of your life in bed. Shouldn’t that room be a sanctuary? But the number of people I’ve met who put their bed and rest last is shocking (but not surprising). But from my perspective, taking care of ourselves is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

A beautifully dressed, comfortable-looking bed is inviting and can truly be rewarding when you finally get to jump in at the end of a busy day.
